Leadership Roles
To me, being a leader is more than being someone who others follow. Leadership is about being a kind, helpful, positive, and communicative being. It shouldn't be based on looks, popularity, or anything physical. I believe that I am slowly leaving a legacy as a leader in my school and community, which drives me to keep doing for others and to be the best person I can be, even when nobody is looking. The following are a few roles I have held to lead me in the right direction.

In 8th grade I was captain for the volleyball team, as well as 9th and 10th grade at my school. I also have taken leadership classes before school once a week all year in 10th grade, basic leadership, and in 11th grade, advanced leadership. All three years of high school so far I have been involved in a group called student innovation, where I represent the voice of the student body in order to improve the school's environment. Next, I was secretary for key club (volunteer group), committee head of advertising in national honors society, and co-founder of environmental club, in which we do projects to clean up our city and raise awareness for clean living. I am confident in my ability to be someone who inspires!
